Half-depth Storage Servers provide the compelling density advantages of a compact 3U half-depth chassis profile. With up to 12TB of reliable SATA II disk storage capacity in a half-depth 3U form factor, this can deliver an incredible 24TB storage capacity in just 3U of rack space when mounted in a Rackable Systems Cabinet. These servers are configurable with a choice of one or two dual or quad-core Intel or AMD processors, chassis profile options with six, nine or 12 SAS or SATA II hot-swap disk drives, and are expandable via high-speed PCI-Express and/or PCI-X slots. Half-Depth Storage Servers are a perfect choice for shared storage applications as network file servers, or for storage heavy database or email server deployments.
