Rackable Systems' OmniStor arrays provide flexible, reliable and cost-effective external storage for a wide range of capacity expansion solutions. Incorporating Rackable System's trademark flexibility, OmniStor provides a perfect complement for deployments requiring host storage expansion, disk backup and archiving, and database servers. Storage density is exceptional with a 3U, 16-drive half-depth chassis profile (up to 32 drives in just 3U of rack space). With a choice of SAS or SATA II hot-swap disk drives, OmniStor is able to provide the flexibility of capacity pricing under $1000 per TB, or provide a compelling price/performance ($ per IOP) solution.

OmniStor arrays provide SAS based host connectivity, with the ability to scale capacity as required through daisy chaining of multiple systems. OmniStor arrays are therefore configurable for a wide range of applications, including:

OmniStor SE3016: Half-Depth SAS Expansion Storage Solution

The OmniStor SE3016 provides a SAS-attached external expansion solution, in a 3U half-depth rack-mount chassis, with 16 SAS or SATA-II hot swap disk drives. Host servers may daisy chain up to eight SE3016 systems per server controller card, which provides a rack-density up to 416TB.
