SYSTEMS WINS PRODUCT EXCELLENCE AWARD
AT LINUXWORLD 2005 IN BOSTON
-- C4002 4-Processor Compute Server Named Best Server Product --
LINUXWORLD 2005, BOSTON, February 17,
2005 - Rackable Systems, Inc., a a leading provider of
compute and storage servers for scale out data center deployments,
has been awarded the 2005 LinuxWorld Conference & Expo Product
Excellence Award for Best Server. The award honors Rackable Systems'
C4002 4-way AMD Opteron™ Solution, a 4-processor server leveraging
the AMD-8000 Series chipset.

standard that recognizes today's most important advances in Linux

Leveraging Rackable Systems' patented back-to-back design for higher
density and easier serviceability, the C4002 4-way AMD Opteron Solution
achieves density levels of 28 nodes, or 112 processors, per cabinet.
Featuring 64-bit architecture with full 32-bit compatibility for
seamless software migration, the C4002 delivers performance and flexibility
ideal for enterprise-class deployments. Redundant, hot-swappable
SATA or SCSI drives and power supplies ensure high availability,
while four independent memory controllers provide access for up to
64GB of system memory.
