MILPITAS, CALIF. - February 14, 2005 - Rackable Systems, Inc., a leading provider of compute and storage servers for scale out data center deployments, today announced the immediate availability of servers based upon the 64-bit Intel® Xeon™ processor 3.60 GHz with 2MB L2 Cache, providing exceptional performance for the most demanding, compute-intensive tasks.

The 64-bit Intel Xeon processor 3.60 GHz with 2MB L2 Cache takes advantage of existing platform infrastructure while optimizing memory subsystem performance. Combined with the Intel 7520 chipset, Rackable Systems servers feature lightning-fast DDR2 memory and an ample PCI-Express I/O architecture.
